nail polish review: arabia from barry m's aquariaum collection

So I recently popped into Boots with the sole intention of purchasing Benefit's Gimme Brow and once again ended up victim to their killer 3 for 2 offers. I left with 3 new Barry M nail polishes and I decided I wanted to try Arabia from their new Aquarium collection first.

The consistency of the polish is pretty standard Barry M being quite thick on application. I therefore only put one coat on but I think that's all you really need with the metallic effect. As I was away from home I didn't have a top coat with me so I left it be. Over the next few days I was in serious revision/ packing-everything-up-from-university-to-move-back-home mode and so the polish underwent more stress than it would normally have done so. My verdict is although it did chip within a few days, it was due to the stress it underwent and I think the polish is great value for money (just £3.99 in Boots and part of the 3 for 2 offer). I kept a note of chipping through the next few days because I'm that cool/pedantic which you can see below.

Thanks for reading; check back for a new post on Tuesday

The Chipping Diaries
  • 39 hours- begins to chip slightly after packing starts
  • 45 hours- one nail falls victim to my sellotape war causing more substantial chipping to occur.
  • 63 hours- mild chipping on most fingers
  • 86 hours- more extensive chipping
  • 116 hours- decision made to remove polish
