Last-Minute Halloween Makeup Ideas!

I really don't know how it happens. Every year, I say that this is the Halloween in which I will get organised and plan a proper costume. Every year, including this one, Halloween sneaks up on me and I end up in a panic about what costume I can throw together last minute. I realised that I probably wasn't alone in this, and so I've put together a few suggestions of makeup ideas that can be incorporated into fairly generic outfits. They range in difficulty from inthefrow's tiger makeup to sprinkleofglitter's simple red and black Halloween lips, in the hope that there is something here for all skill levels/time frames.
Hope this is helpful, happy Halloween!

NaNoWriMo Run Down

It's that time of the year again, when seemingly normal humans take it upon themselves to take up a task of enormous difficulty. I believe that it would be hard if that was all you were planning to do this November, but the majority of us have work, school, university, and you know, life going on at the same time. The result? A month with no sleep, no social life and a permanently deranged expression. But in the end, it is SO worth it.

For those of you who don't know and are now crying out in frustration wondering what on earth I am rambling on about, I'm talking about NaNoWriMo, National Novel Writing Month. The premise behind it is simple enough, every November 100,000s of people try to write a 50,000 word novel. That works out at roughly 1,667 words A DAY. This sounds quite daunting, but if you manage your time effectively, it can be done.

I have entered every year for the past six years and I have, shamefully, never 'won', i.e. never reached 50,000 words. My PB is 30,000, by which point in the month I begin to have a mental breakdown about academic workloads and NaNo gets forgotten. To be perfectly honest, I can't see why this year will be any different from the past 6, but I intend to give it my best shot.

For those of you who want to learn more about the project, I'll link the site and my profile below (feel free to buddy up with me). It begins this Saturday and it is honestly one of the most exciting, challenging and informative things you could undertake this autumn. Challenge extended.

Lily Collins is a purple angel

Lily... Lily, Lily, Lily. I've been in love with Lily for a rather long time now, and I have to say, she never disappoints me. Her style is brave, feminine and ever-evolving providing both elegant and edgy looks. During the last few weeks Lily has been on the 'Love Rosie' press tour with co-star Sam Claflin, and whilst she's been looking great constantly, this look has stolen the show.
Not only is her purple-white ombre Elie Saab one of the most beautiful gowns I've ever seen, she's perfected her burgundy lips and styled her bob into Hollywood waves to create a stunning autumnal look.
I'm looking forward to what you wear next Lily, though if I'm honest, it will be hard to top this.
