Trinity College with Kristina Bazan

On Monday evening, I visited Trinity College, Oxford University to hear Kristina Bazan and James Chardon talk about Kayture. The fashion blog they co-founded has become a successful global brand, and as a fellow blogger, fashion lover and business student, I must confess I found myself utterly in awe of the pair. I've been reading Kayture for as long as I can remember, so when I heard that the duo were giving a talk it was a complete no-brainer for me to attend. It was an incredible insight to hear how the pair have grown the blog, from their amateur shoots after school to working with luxury brands like Cartier and Chopard. I felt utterly inspired.
Afterwards, the duo chatted to all those in attendance, taking countless photos with university students and teenage girls who had flocked to get a selfie with Kristina Bazan. I was the last to speak to Kristina, despite being the first to arrive. I didn't mind. They were hurrying off to dinner, as they were flying to Japan the next morning so I didn't detain them long. I'm glad I got a photo, even though the amber lights are unbelievably unflattering. I've got to admit, posing next to Kristina hasn't done wonders to my self esteem. She might be the most gorgeous woman I've ever seen in my life, and she's so petite I feared that she would be carried off by the slightest gust of wind.
I think what I loved most of all was how genuinely excited the pair seemed to be about giving their talk. It was charming, considering the extent of their success.
I could talk about the evening for countless hours (just ask my poor mother) but I won't bore you with any of the personal revelations I had. In short I related to a lot of the things the pair said, and I left the college with a spring in my step.

I hope to meet them again soon, although that might be difficult, as in the day since I've seen them they have flown to Paris, Japan and will be leaving in the morning. Oh, to lead the life of a blogger.

p.s. Cannes festivals starting *whoop*! However as my exam is tomorrow (?!?!) I won't be posting until Friday. Don't worry, I'll make sure you won't miss any of the best looks.
