My 'Before I'm 30' Bucket List

When I turned 21 earlier in the year, I was utterly terrified. To me, 21 still sounds really old. Like the age of an adult, and I definitely do not feel smart enough to be an adult. I've only got one more year of uni, after which I'm likely to become a corporate drone working terrible hours for terrible pay before giving half of it to the taxman then going home to eat a microwave meal in my shabby apartment easily mistaken for a matchbox. I paint quite the picture. What I mean to say is that life seems to be passing awfully quick. It's only 9 years until I'm 30, the age in my head where I feel everything should be fairly settled in terms of career and family. There are several things in my life I've always wanted to do, and the fact that the big 'three oh' is approaching at a rapid rate has made me realise I only have a finite amount of time to do these things.
So I've made a list (a bucket list if you will) of the things I'd like to do, learn, experience and achieve by the time I'm 30. Some are going to be far harder than others to achieve, either physically or financially, but I fully intend to give them my best shot.
Here is the list as it currently stands:

  • Do the splits
  • Weigh less than 11 stone
  • Go on a hot air balloon
  • Stand on the top of the empire state building
  • Sky dive
  • Watch the sunrise
  • Give blood
  • Travel first class
  • Publish a novel
  • Ride a horse
  • See the northern lights
  • Fly in a helicopter
  • Run a marathon
  • Visit my aunt and uncle in Canada
  • Learn how to roller skate- without causing serious bodily harm
  • Learn piano
  • Take an aerial silks class
  • Live in London
  • Go zorbing
  • Volunteer at a wildlife sanctuary
  • Go stargazing
  • Kick depression in the butt

My intention is to leave my list here and edit it when I have completed or added aspects. Do you have a bucket list like this? What's on yours? Let me know in the comments below.
