Oscars 2016: Best Dressed

The first thing I read this morning was that Leo had finally won an Oscar. It's funny, how this event has literally nothing to do with me, and yet, I came over all emotional. How, after all these years, has he only just been awarded this achievement? He's provided some of the best films, and most beautiful performances, of the past several decades. But it wasn't until I arrived at the library this morning that I welled up. It wasn't Leo's reaction to winning. It was Kate's. Their friendship is so beautiful, their support for one another so enduring. You could feel how proud Kate was, how ecstatic she felt that her friend had finally won this award. I've begun to ramble now. The point I'm trying to make I guess, is that sometimes, for some people, you have to work harder, for longer, for certain things to happen for you. But if you keep pursuing your passion, if you keep trying your absolute best, good things will happen. And when they do, your friends, your true friends, will be by your side, telling you they always knew this would happen. A lesson, I think, we can all take something from.
So on to the fashion. Perhaps I'm seeing everything in a rose-tinted glow this morning, but I absolutely adored so many of the looks from last night. There were princess gowns, sophisticated cuts, sexy splits and everything in between. I've also popped in a few looks from Vanity Fair's after-party, as those ladies were rather on point too.
Hope you all have a brilliant Monday and a wonderful week.
